This write-up goes over the installation process of rear clear side markers for 99-04 Mustangs. These beauties go in easy and look great.

Tools Required

• Soft towel
• Flathead Screwdriver

First, you want to get a soft towel or cloth and flat head screwdriver. Wrap the towel around the head of the screwdriver and gently pry up on the edge of the side marker. The towel helps to protect against damaging the bumper area around the side marker.

Once the stock side marker is removed, you will want to clean the any dirt or road grime from the side marker location on the bumper. Once the area is clean and dry, take the new side marker and get it ready for installation. Peel off the tape around the 3M backed adhesive.

It is important to install the right sidemarker on the correct side of your Mustang. The back of each lens is clearly marked with an "R" and "L".  Install the "R" lens on the passenger side and the "L" lens on the driver side.

When you are sure you are installing the correct lens for the side you are working on, line up the posts on the new side marker with the holes in the rear bumper as shown below.

Once everything is aligned, press firmly on the side marker to ensure the posts are inserted all the way and the 3M adhesive is making contact with the bumper.

Thats all there is to it. This now completes the installation of your rear side marker lenses.
