StangMods is proud to offer pre-painted parts for the 2005+ Mustang. Our painted "Skull Cap" Mirror covers are an easy way to dress up an otherwise overlooked area of your Stang. Installation is super simple and does not require removal of your side view mirrors.
Tools Required:
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Clean Cloth
The first step in the installation process is to ensure your mirrors are clean and dry. We recommend using rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth to wipe off any road grime or debris from your mirrors. Next, match up the corresponding mirror cover with the side you are working on first. Perform a test fitment to make sure everything aligns correctly.
The mirror is attached using high strength 3M automotive adhesive. Gently remove this red backing tape to uncover the gray adhesive. Once you are done, be careful not to allow any debris to come in contact with the gray adhesive. This will limit its sticking strength.
Next, you'll be applying the mirror cover to the mirror and pressing down firmly to ensure a good bond between the two. Start at either side of the mirror and work your way over. Press firmly as you go along as shown in the pictures below.
